IEEE Applied Sensing Conference IIT Hyderabad, India // 20-22 January 2025 The IEEE SC Family Cares Grant Program supports attendance at IEEE APSCON 2025 by covering family care costs (children, seniors, disabled needs) for those with competing family responsibilities. This grant is a new initiative sponsored by Women in Sensors.
Eligibility:
• Open to IEEE members of any grade or gender, based on need and desire to attend the conference.
• Responsibilities include childcare, elder care, and sick care.
• Applicants must confirm no other family care grants have been received (IEEE, institution, etc.).
• Applicants must provide the IEEE membership number at the time of the application.
Budget:
• Grants up to $500 USD for people traveling from India, based on actual expenses.
• Grants up to $1,400 USD for people traveling from other countries outside India, based on actual expenses.
• Lesser amounts may be awarded based on the committee’s evaluation.
How to Apply:
Applicants must be IEEE members and submit the following:
• A narrative proposal (max 2 pages) summarizing financial responsibilities and including the IEEE membership number.
• A letter of recommendation from an IEEE member (max 2 pages).
• Disclose if any other family grants have been received.
• Priority will be given to those with an accepted paper at the conference.
Reimbursement:
The recipient must anticipate expenses and submit a post-event report within 30 days after the
conference to receive reimbursement. Once the post-event activity report has been received, the
recipient will receive the Grant Acknowledgement Form and instructions.
